“Food brings us together.”

For 30 years, our work has hinged first and foremost on relationships that are built as neighbors seek to care for neighbors. It all started with food. We hoped people would trust us with their stomachs and that in time they would also trust us with their hearts.

Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church has been volunteering at the Friday Night Community Meal for over 15 years. Every third Friday, Lou, others from Annunciation and many volunteers from the community roll up their sleeves, put on their gloves and aprons and get to work feeding our neighbors in need. Food and community—this is at the heart of our work at Reconciliation Services. It always has been.
